About Me

My (very difficult to pronounce) name is Jana Zschoche. I am a 22-year-old photographer from the Washington DC suburbs in northern Virginia. I now live in New York City and attend New York University, where I am studying media, culture, and communication. I am also an intern at a theatre press office, so you can usually find me talking about Broadway, reading every possible article about theatre, or on my way to a show.

I started taking photos when I was 12 years old and haven't stopped. I love photographing people, small moments, beautiful places, and my adventures. I focus on portraiture, as well as photojournalism, travel, and lifestyle photography. My favorite part of photography is documenting life, capturing moments, and sharing stories.

When not taking photos, I am a college student, buyer of too many books, writer, theatre fan, baker of too many desserts, binge-watcher of television shows, pop culture and media enthusiast, frequent museum visitor, and long suffering Mets fan. I'd love to chat with you about books, Broadway, the best places to get dessert, and The West Wing.
